Description: Checkout Lightning.Video lightning.video I recently learned of a newer site called Lightning.Video, the site is basically a video sharing or video hosting site, as well as a livestreaming site which allows you to paygate or paywall your content in return for Bitcoin or Satoshis. Now I think this site is probably better suited for someone who already has an existing audience and wants to paywall some content as opposed to someone uploading videos here with the hopes of them just being discovered organically as the UI of the site isn't great and there doesn't seem to be much of a userbase at this time, though the project itself does seem interesting. The process of posting a video is fairly easy, you just need a Lightning Wallet, even having CashApp will work if your intimidated by trying to setup a lightning wallet though there are some third party custody wallets like the Wallet of Satoshi which make things pretty easy. Currently I think the best use case for this platform would be using it as an alternative to something like Teachable, Thinkific, or even Patreon or OnlyFans, for people with existing audiences who want to put up some type of paywall for their content and be paid in crypto.
